"The International Museum of Art & Science will be hosting its inaugural Members’ Juried Art Show this October through January. The exhibition will be juried by Nancy Moyer, Professor Emerita of Art, and will feature original artwork submitted by IMAS members.
Works will be juried across the entire exhibition, and awards include Best of Show ($500), second place ($300), third place ($200), and three honorable mentions ($50). An opening reception for members will be held on Saturday, October 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Cardenas Gallery and will include the awards ceremony.
Participating artists must be 18 years of age or older and a museum member in good standing. Member artists may submit up to two works of art created within the past three years. One work is guaranteed to be included in the exhibition and the other may be juried in. Up to two adults from the same household may participate if they have a Family membership. No work can be larger than 4 x 5′, must be movable by the artist, sculpture must include a base or stand, and no liquids, live plants or animals are allowed.
IMAS Members must drop off artwork either on Saturday, September 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or on Monday, September 27, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. An application can be downloaded at https://theimasonline.org/members-juried-exhibit/ and must be included with the artwork.
