Cedars Open Studios November Tour: 20th year!

"On Saturday, November 19, the Cedars neighborhood transforms into an open studio art tour, this year celebrating 20 years of the Cedars Open Studios tradition across the “Artist's District”, as locals affectionately call it. The annual event is coordinated by the non-profit organization, Cedars Open Studios and is supported by local creatives, business sponsors, and art-centric locations across the neighborhood.

Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing the work of Cedars Artists in studios, galleries, businesses, and public spaces from 11am-6pm. Stops include Full City Rooster Coffee Roasting Studio, Janette Kennedy Gallery, SouthSide on Lamar Artist Quarters on Botham Jean Blvd, Gulf Cone Building, Tin Ranch Artists, Artists@1808, among many others.

The closing reception starts at 6pm with food trucks, beverages, live music and art installations stationed in Old City Park. A retrospective exhibit of the Cedars Open Studios Tour over the last two decades will be hosted in the Browder Springs Hall building with guest appearances by by Jim Bowman and Mary Lynn Devereux-Bowman. Gathering spot is by the fountain at 6:30pm for live music. Performances by Unfaded Brass Band as well as cellist Jordan Jones. Video installations by Brian Tomerlin and Sean Miller, and an art installation by Madison Mask. Followed by more music hosted by ChrchX in the chapel building.

The day-long event and after party are free and open to the public in the historic Cedars neighborhood just south of downtown Dallas, TX. Join the fun! Transportation provided around the neighborhood or join Bike Friendly Cedars for a pedal-powered tour.
