"Contexts & Communities interrogates and celebrates communities, photographers, and the contexts surrounding them.  The exhibit focuses on various communities, including families, neighborhoods, and environments, addressing themes of precarity and care in communities in relation to the people on both sides of the camera.

The exhibition features works by more than twenty photographers including: Dawoud Bey, Marcus Bleasdale, Latoya Ruby Frazier, Dorothea Lange, Bill McDowell, Lewis Hine.

Rebecca Cai is a PhD student at the University of Texas at Dallas with research interests in art and literature."
