Kelly Wagner Steinke: Beneath the Persimmon Tree: Poetry and Process

From the Georgetown Art Center: "Beginning March 22, 2024, the Georgetown Art Center is proud to present “Beneath the Persimmon Tree: Poetry and Process” by Kelly Wagner Steinke. The exhibit consists of several pieces of ongoing works, as well as new works just completed. The works reveal visual and conceptual layers that collectively create a conversation between us and the natural world.   The artist, Kelly Wagner Steinke, received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Ill., and holds Master of Art degrees from the University of Houston, Clear Lake City and from the University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been exhibited in museums, universities, and galleries across the country, as well as abroad in Cambridge, England and Abruzzo, Italy. The exhibit will run from March 22nd – April 28th and is free to attend. There will be an Opening Reception on Saturday March 23rd from 4-6pm, and we will host an Artist Talk on Sunday March 24th at 2pm."
