POSIES

March 23 - May 04,2024

From Fort Works Art: "FORT WORKS ART proudly announces "POSIES," a group art exhibition poised to bloom with interpretations of plant life, growth, and renewal. As a vibrant centerpiece of the FWADA Spring Gallery Night, this captivating showcase invites patrons to delve into a botanical narrative crafted by a stellar lineup of talented artists, both local and national. Curated by gallery owner, Lauren Saba, "POSIES" at Fort Works Art promises an eclectic journey through nature's poetry as interpreted by an esteemed ensemble of artists. Running from March 23, 2024, to May 4, 2024, this exhibition will allow visitors to enter a tapestry of flora, fauna, crystals, and other forms of nature, celebrating the resilience and beauty inherent in the world. "‘POSIES’ takes us into both the imaginations of artists and the reality of nature by artist, who are tackling a subject inherent to us all - that of creation - its evolution, beauty, and timeless ability to inspire," remarked Saba. "Each artist has brought their unique perspective of this topic, offering their own thoughts on this eternal cycle." The exhibition boasts a diverse roster of artists, including Alonsa Guevara, Will Heron, Jay Wilkinson, Erika Duque Scully, Eric Inkala, Crystal Wagner, Michele Tejuola Spindle, Tim Tyler, Elena Rodriguez, James Zigras, and Kerri Menchaca. In addition to traditional artistic mediums, the forthcoming exhibition also brings an array of museum-grade crystals sourced from James Zigras of Avant Mining. Visitors will have the privilege of seeing some of the rarest clear quartz crystals, unearthed at the Garfield Mine in Arkansas. The masterpiece of the collection, “The Holy Grail”, is proudly on permanent exhibition at Crystal Bridges Museum. Exclusive to Fort Works Art, this is a rare opportunity to admire and purchase these unparalleled crystals, hailed as the epitome of collectible excellence. Admission to "POSIES" at Fort Works Art is free, providing and open to the public. For more information, including exhibition hours and featured artists, please visit fortworksart.com"
