December 13 - May 04,2025
From Holocaust Museum Houston:
"Learn about the extraordinary lives of local Holocaust Survivors and their legacy with the upcoming fifth installment of Houston Survivor Series. The annual exhibition is on view December 13, 2024 through May 4, 2025, in Holocaust Museum Houston’s (HMH) Spira Central Gallery.
Curated by Holocaust Museum Houston’s Collections and Exhibitions Team, Houston Survivor Series: Liberation offers a compelling introduction of Houston Holocaust Survivors featuring family members’ memories. Observing the upcoming 80th anniversary of the liberation of most concentration camps across Europe, this installment will focus on local survivors who experienced liberation and went on to become an integral part of the Houston community including Ervin Adam, Helen Colin, the Dittman family, the Jucker brothers, Walter Kase and Sonia Stern. Their stories recount liberation from Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau and Mauthausen, in addition to Nazi Germany’s official surrender in May 1945.
Join the Museum for a public exhibition opening on December 12 at 6 p.m. Visit hmh.org/liberationopening to learn more and RSVP.
